Plot Synopsis
Cameras capture clients getting late-night ink at two tattoo parlors in Los Angeles: House of Ink, in the heart of the Venice boardwalk, and Ink Candy, steps away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From the guy asking for a bat tattoo on his face and a woman getting a larger back corset piercing to a couple who wants matching tattoos, each 30-minute episode of TATTOOS AFTER DARK shows two or three clients getting inked or pierced. Featured tattoo artists include: Christine Barnum, a brunette bombshell from Chino Hills, who is seen as one of the guys and is confident that she can tattoo anything they can; Justin Coppolino, originally from Philly, who is still in awe by the craziness of the late-night Hollywood clientele; Angel 'Bazzar' Garcia, known for going to clubs and bringing back crowds of people to get late-night tattoos, who treats everyone that walks through the shop doors like family; Taylor 'Big T' Graaf, manager of Ink Kandy since 2010, who always wants in on the latest scoop and tends to get involved in the shop's drama; Friday Jones, known for her fine art and detailed craftsmanship, who has built a celebrity clientele such as Lydia Hearst, Angie Harmon, and Aubrey O'Day; Joe 'Jersey' Meinwieser, originally from New Jersey, whose roots are in traditional east coast tattooing, specifically the Coleman technique; Asaru Mushavu, a California native, who has a flirtatious nature at work to help lure in female clients; and Chris Saint, born and raised in England, who splits his time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, while staying on the cutting edge of the piercing industry.
