Plot Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Talia and her brainy little sister, Julie, move in with their eccentric grandmother, Dolores. When Talia starts spending time at Lola's, her family's restaurant, she finds her late father's spice collection hidden in the walls. She soon discovers her passion for cooking, and uses her special "salt and pepper sense" and her late father's magical spices to whip up dishes that stir people's emotions. Using her culinary gift, she must overcome competition from a local eatery owned by the Fuccinelli family, who Talia learns was responsible for closing Lola's. As the feud between the two families grows, Talia finds herself too frequently dealing with the Fuccinellis: food snob Debbie, heartthrob Tyson, and head chef Frenchie. Fortunately, Talia's lovable downstairs neighbor, Rudy, is always willing to lend a hand, and he's totally crushing on her even though she sees him as a loyal friend.

Nickelodeon premiered the mid-season finale of TALIA IN THE KITCHEN on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT. In the one-hour summer finale, "Spice Heist," Frenchie attempts to steal Talia's spices while Talia and Debbie compete in the Golden Ladle cooking competition. Later, everyone must evacuate as a hurricane heads towards Miami. Guest star: Lorena Garcia. TALIA IN THE KITCHEN will return with new episodes in Fall 2015.
