Plot Synopsis

From Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, the creator and executive producers of CASTLE, TAKE TWO is a one-hour detective series that follows Sam Swift, the former star of a hit cop series whose epic breakdown is broadcast to the public and sends her to rehab. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way into shadowing lone-wolf private investigator Eddie Valetik as research for a potential comeback role. Though Eddie resents the babysitting gig, high-spirited Sam uses the skills she learned as an actor playing a cop and proves herself to be surprisingly valuable. In their second case together -- surveillance on a routine cheating spouse case -- Sam and Eddie hear gunshots and race in to catch a Hollywood producer standing over the body of his mistress, clutching a smoking gun. It's case-closed as far as Eddie or any cop is concerned. But when the producer insists he's innocent, Sam agrees to take on his case, much to Eddie's chagrin. When their initial inquiries uncover that the producer's mistress isn't who she claimed to be, the pair are thrust into an investigation where not everything is as it seems.

On Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC premiered "One to the Heart," the season finale of TAKE TWO. Still wrestling with the emotional reverberations of sleeping together, Sam and Eddie take a case involving a serial con man who victimizes wealthy women. In order to recover their client's money and jewelry without scaring off their suspect, the pair hatch a plan to con the con man using Sam as bait. But their plan goes awry when they discover they're not the only ones after the con man and they may be stepping into a trap themselves. As events unfold, Sam's future and Eddie's past collide to test their professional and personal relationship that could change everything.
