Plot Synopsis

Created and executive produced by Johnnie Ingram and Stephen Warren, SWIPING AMERICA is an eight-episode docuseries that follows four singles from New York City (Ashleigh, Kesun, Kris, Reagan), who embark on a dating app journey across Americe, while exploring personal issues around sex, relationships, love and connection. Each episode finds the group in a new American city (Asheville, NC; Miami, FL; Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA; Santa Fe, NM; Boulder, CO; Seattle, WA; and Honolulu, HI), as producers swipe through possible matches and curate blind dates for them. While forging a special friendship with each other over the course of the season, their journey culminates in Hawaii, where they hand-pick their best match from the season and ultimately decide whether their relationship can go the distance. SWIPING AMERICA debuted on Thursday, June 15, 2023 on Max, as the streaming service released the first two episodes. Four more episodes drop on Thursday, June 22, with the final two installments premiering on Thursday, June 29.

On Thursday, June 29, 2023, Max released the final two episodes of SWIPING AMERICA. In "Seattle," with only one city left in their dating journey, the singles feel the pressure to make their last swipes count before selecting a special someone to bring to Hawaii. In the season finale, "Honolulu," the 10-week dating journey comes to a close, and Ash, Kesun, Kris, and Reagan reflect on their personal and romantic growth as they arrive in Hawaii with their most meaningful matches.
