Plot Synopsis

Based Sherryl Woods' "Sweet Magnolias" series of books, SWEET MAGNOLIAS is a one-hour drama series that follows lifelong best friends Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue as they juggle relationships, family, and careers in the charming small town of Serenity, SC. The story opens with Maddie trying to move on from Bill's fall from grace, Dana Sue dealing with problems in her kitchen, and Helen making a life-altering purchase. On Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the 10-episode first season of SWEET MAGNOLIAS.

The entire 10-episode second season of SWEET MAGNOLIAS dropped on Friday, February 4, 2022 on Netflix. Together, the Magnolias work through new relationships, old wounds and town politics as the sweet parts of life blend with the salty and the sour. In the season opener, "Casseroles and Casualties," in the waiting room, the families gather for news from the doctors, and Ty's plans for the season change.
