Plot Synopsis
THE SWEET LIFE, hosted by Rachel Sweet, is a variety series that features comedic sketches and segments like "What's Under My Couch?," Rachel's Reel" and "Rachel's Viewer Video" from a writing staff that included Michael Patrick King and Jon Stewart (who also appeared in at least one sketch). Plus, Rachel welcomed guests to the set, such as boxer Mark Breland. This series premiered at 6pm ET on Wednesday, November 15, 1989 on the just-launched Comedy Channel, making it the first broadcast on the new cable station.
