Plot Synopsis

Adventurer and survival expert Les Stroud travels to remote and inhospitable locations with no camera crew, equipment or food, demonstrating how to survive for one week while filming his own ordeal. Season 4, a collection of four one-hour specials, is called SURVIVORMAN 10 DAYS because instead of just seven days, Les spends 10 days (two episodes) alone in each of the Norwegian Mountains and on Tiburon Island in Mexico. OLN aired the Season 4 world premiere on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 9pm ET, and Discovery aired the U.S. premiere of the Season 4 on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 8pm ET. SURVIVORMAN returned for its fifth season on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery, one week before debuting in Canada on Travel+Escape. In the season opener, "Grenada Jungle," Les treks through the thick mountain rainforest to survive on the peak of Grenada's largest active mountain, where Mona Monkeys, tarantulas, scorpions, armadillo, parrots and possums all live, offering an abundance of food -- and danger.

On Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, Science Channel premiered the sixth season of SURVIVORMAN. In the season opener, "Fan Challenge," for the first time Les brings a fan -- contest winner Joe McConnell -- into the wilderness to survive alongside him, showing him the ropes of what it takes to be Survivorman. Later in the season, Les travels to India, Romania, Argentina, Canada and the U.S., among other locations, where viewers get look at each off-the-grid trek by using an individual interactive virtual reality experience that's the next best thing to being with Les.
