Plot Synopsis

SUPERBIKE FAMILY follows the family-owned and operated Pegram Race Team, which travel across the country with Larry Pegram as he tries to win motorcycle titles, like the 2010 AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Championship in the first season. It's a battle of David vs. Goliath as the close-nit crew of Pegram Racing competes against teams who are factory-backed, well-funded, and have more resources and manpower. During the six-episode first season, the team: prepares for the biggest race of the year at Daytona; heads to Fontana, California, where Larry tries to conquer the track that beat him the previous season; battles on the coasts in Georgia and Sonoma, California; journeys to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin and Lexington, Ohio; travels back to California to compete in Monterey before returning to the East Coast to race at Virginia International Raceway; and finally finishes the season in New Jersey and Alabama.

This series returned for its third season on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 3pm ET/PT on Velocity. In the Season 3 opener, Larry writes a big check to race a dominating Yamaha R1 after two disappointing seasons; however, his first day racing at Daytona ends in disaster.
