Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Carlos 'Capi' Perez, this Mexican spinoff of SUGAR RUSH features six teams of two pastry chefs, who blend innovation and tradition to create edible marvels while trying to impress the three judges: chocolatier-chef Luis Robledo; pastry chef and influencer Mis Pastelitos; and a guest judge. Contestants crank up the creativity for their first challenge: Mexican Street Food, including baking a cupcake that tastes like a traditional breakfast. Then, the duos come face-to-face with food leftovers and must salvage terrible cakes to wow the judges, including guest Ludwika Paleta. Next, the bakers honor lost loved ones during an emotional Dia de Muertos challenge, with Itati Cantoral joining in to judge their otherworldly creations. Additional guest judges include Lolita Ayala and Wendy Guevara. All six episodes of SUGAR RUSH: THE BAKING POINT's first season dropped on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 on Netflix.
