Plot Synopsis

Using first-person interviews, scientific investigations, classic detective work, and dramatic re-enactments, STRANGER THAN NATURE tries to explain the unexplained by investigating weird and wonderful real-life stories from the natural world. Each 60-minute unravels three wild mysteries, including: a hairless, alien-like creature that is found dead by the side of the road in Minnesota; an astonishing record number of salmon surge up Canadas Fraser River after a devastating decade; millions of Namibia's Fairy Circles that form; a recent string of shark attacks at New Smyrna Beach in Florida; in Wyoming, death comes in overwhelming numbers as hundreds of elk become suddenly sick; a downpour of fish in Australia, nearly 300 miles away from the nearest major body of water; 55 whales beach themselves in what looks like a mass suicide attempt in South Africa; hundreds of crocs are found dead along Australia's Victoria River; the awe-inspiring birth by a mule, shattering beliefs that female mules are infertile; more than a dozen sharks are found dead along the West Coast of the United States; and many more natural oddities.
