Plot Synopsis

From levitating cars to a statue come to life, STRANGE EVIDENCE is a one-hour series that investigates incredible mysteries captured by security cameras, dash-cams and drones. With eyewitness testimony, expert opinion and exciting experiments, can science solve the mystery behind this strange evidence for footage that seems to defy explanation, including levitating cars on a freeway, a statue that appears to move on its own, and a spontaneous burst of flames? The premiere episode examines footage taken from a convenience store in Kentucky of a customer who suddenly caught on fire. Also, in Michigan a surveillance camera set up by a team of researchers recorded persistent eerie lights appearing at dusk, a phenomenon locals have been describing for over 40 years. Local legend connects the strange glow to the tragic death of a train signalman. But will the surveillance footage provide investigators with the evidence they need for a definitive earthly answer?

Season 2 of STRANGE EVIDENCE premiered on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on Science Channel, immediately following a two-hour special (7-9pm). In the season opener, "Freak of the Deep" (9pm), scientists examine an eerie, toxic fog that creeps into an Illinois town, causing people to flee for their lives. Also, a deep-sea dive team in the Gulf of Mexico spots a curious looking organism through their camera before it disappears back into the inky depths. In China, a highway collision creates a freeway fireball that has experts puzzled over the scale of the special effect-like blast.

The fourth season of STRANGE EVIDENCE premiered on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 9-11pm ET/PT on Science Channel. In the new season, experts will investigate oddities from around the world captured on camera. In Nashville, a local man investigates a strange smell when suddenly the sidewalk beside him explodes into flames. Could it be connected to a nearby vehicle wreck or caused by a bootleggers' hidden stash? In Hong Kong, a fisherman captures what appears to be the parting of the sea. But was this really a miracle reminiscent of the Old Testament, or a rare weird weather event? Workmen in Canada are dumbfounded when they film an enormous humanoid figure throwing a tree trunk in the forest. What beast is capable of throwing such massive weight, and is there a rational explanation? From mysterious pulsing blue lights in New York City to strange aquatic monsters captured deep beneath the sea in Japan, STRANGE EVIDENCE investigates footage from around the world that appears to defy reason.

Season 7 of STRANGE EVIDENCE debuted on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on Science Channel. Cameras today catch everything from a colossal fireball rising up from the Caspian Sea, an unidentified object hovering over Chicago, all the way to a poltergeist pedestrians warning us about the future. With unprecedented access to all this raw footage, experts investigate mysteries caught on tape and carry out forensic analyses to determine the truth behind these unusual events: are they supernatural, meant to send us a message, or simply fake? In the season opener, "Caspian Sea Inferno," cameras capture a towering 1,600 foot pillar of flame erupting from the Caspian Sea off the coast of Azerbaijan; experts investigate a potential link to the nation's weapons arsenal and military aspirations over disputed neighboring territory.
