Plot Synopsis

THE STORY OF HOME is a half-hour docuseries that follows Jersey Ice Cream Co. founders Percy Bright and Tara Mangini, as they renovate their farmhouse in the Hudson Valley in upstate New York -- while they live in it. When the series opens, it's summer and Tara and Percy head outside to work on some projects. They build a Dutch-inspired rock-and-wood sauna, and Tara works on getting the garden beds ready for next year. Then, in the second episode, "A Very Merry Bathroom," it's Christmas, and that means trimming trees and baking cookies. While Tara and Percy get the house ready for the holidays, they renovate the bathrooms. They attempt to make their own tempera paint, but have trouble translating the Swedish directions. THE STORY OF HOME premiered with two episodes on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 8-9pm ET/PT on Magnolia Network and earlier in the day on the Magnolia App and on discovery+.
