By re-creating capers from formerly classified CIA case files, SPY WORLD explores spy stories from World War II, the Cold War and NYC clubs. Travel Channel premiered this series on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 6-9pm ET/PT, showing all three episodes back to back. The first installment, "Hunting Hezbollah's Phantom," reveals the stories of a Hezbollah terrorist mastermind who evaded capture for decades, a Cold War KGB traitor who attempted to be smuggled out of the Soviet Union by British agents, and two WWII German spies who were loose in New York City. The second program, "America's Super Spy," documents tales of Polish army Col. Ryszard Kuklinski who evaded arrest for a decade during the Cold War, American and Israeli agents who smuggled Ethiopian Jews into Israel in 1982, and WWII British agents who launched a crazy scheme to fool Germans. Then the finale, "Russian Seduction, Moscow Rules, Operation Goldenrod," focuses on a Russian beauty who used her seductive powers to steal American secrets in 2010 Manhattan, a weapons specialist who smuggled blueprints in Moscow in the 1980s, and the FBI and CIA who tried to lure an international terrorist in 1987.
