Plot Synopsis

SPOTLESS is a one-hour scripted series that follows two estranged brothers who are forced to reconnect after their lives were torn apart by a terrible childhood secret. Witnessing a double murder, they jeopardize their successful crime-scene cleaning business by inadvertently becoming entangled in the deadly dynamics of organized crime. Set in contemporary London, this dark drama series explores the story of Jean Bastiere, a troubled man whose life is turned upside down when his outlaw brother, Martin, crash lands into his world. On the surface Jean has everything including a gorgeous wife Julie, two doting children, and a thriving crime-scene cleaning business. However his morals are compromised when his estranged brother's presence begins to unravel his seemingly stable life. Martin is the polar opposite of his brother Jean. Affected by the same childhood tragedy as his brother, Martin drifted into a life of crime, alcohol abuse, drugs, and loose women. Now, yearning for a better life, Martin is forced to confront dark sins of the past and real dangers of the present. The Bastiere brothers' lives collide when Jean stumbles across what appears to be a murder that his brother is trying to cover up. Forced to put his crime scene cleaning skills to the test, Jean must now clean up Martin's mess. Ensnared by mob boss Nelson Clay, corruption, drugs and death pose a constant hazard, which constantly forces Jean down a dangerous and blood-soaked path, forcing him to protect his family's future...by jeopardizing his own. On Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, Esquire TV premiered the season finale of SPOTLESS. In the season ender, the brothers put their lives on the line in an elaborate set-up in which they 'm to expose the dark transgressions of the mob boss' younger brother Victor (Liam Garrigan of Once Upon a Time & 24) who has been threatening their family -- but Nelson comes well-armed to the show-down with his thugs in full force. Anything could happen with lives hanging in the balance. Compounding the suspense, Jean's wife has just discovered Jean is cheating and now their marriage is on the brink of collapse. Will she leave him? Will he and his family survive this brutal show-down with one of London's most notorious criminals?
