Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Dan Patrick, SPORTS JEOPARDY! is a weekly 30-minute program that uses the game play of the iconic game show JEOPARDY! with sports-themed categories. Each game consists of three rounds -- Single Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy! and Final Jeopardy! -- with the first two rounds featuring four clues in each of six categories. In Single Jeopardy!, questions are worth $250, $500, $750 and $1000, and the values are doubled for Double Jeopardy! ($500; $1000; $1500; $2000). Like the original show, contestants select a category and dollar amount from the board and must give a response in the form of a question after being the first to buzz in. Before SPORTS JEOPARDY! premiered, more than 30,000 contestants registered online for auditions held during summer 2014 in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Chicago and New York. Each contestant was presented with a qualifying test of 30 clues in 30 sports-related categories for the first phase of the audition process. For those who passed that initial test, the second phase of auditions featured mock game play and a short interview. Qualified contestants who passed the test and interview and met all eligibility requirements went on to appear on the show. Crackle released the first episode early morning on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, and new episodes are available to stream on demand year round every Wednesday for a total of 52 episodes each year.

SPORTS JEOPARDY! returned for its second season on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, with Dan Patrick hosting once again. As in Season 1, contestants continue to play for points, and the player with the most points at the end of each game wins $5,000. But this season, the champ returns the next week for a shot at another $5,000 and another win.
