Plot Synopsis

SOUTHERN CHARM is a one-hour reality series that follows six singles in Charleston, SC, who struggle with the constraints of being members of The Palmetto State's most aristocratic families, while trying to launch political careers, build businesses, and chase true love -- and still preserve their family names. Because in Charleston, you're only as good as your last garden party and one social screw-up can taint generations to come. The six singles are: Craig Conover, a Delaware native, who transitioned to Charleston School of Law after obtaining a degree in finance and is now a clerk to a prominent law firm in the area; Cameran Eubanks, a Charleston native, who appeared on THE REAL WORLD: SAN DIEGO and is now turning to real estate after a ten-year stint in the cosmetic industry; Jenna King, a native of Sumter, South Carolina, who has lived all over the world as a daughter of a retired Air Force pilot and now as an up-and-comer in the fashion world; Thomas Ravenel, a Charleton native, who returned home in 1995 after founding his own commercial real estate development company out of Atlanta and then was elected to the SC office of State Treasurer; William Shepherd 'Shep' Rose III, originally from Hilton Head Island, who was in the resort development business in South Florida and was in Dubai after attending business school, before moving back to his hometown during the financial meltdown of the late 2000s; and Whitney Sudler-Smith, a filmmaker and classically trained guitarist, who has spent the last 17 years living and working in Los Angeles composing screenplays and independent films. Bravo aired a half-hour sneak preview of this series on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:30pm ET/PT, one month before its official series premiere on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT.

Season 2 premiered on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on Bravo. In the second season, Craig Conover, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis, Cameran Eubanks, Thomas Ravenel, Shep Rose and Whitney Sudler-Smith along with new addition Landon Clements, are taking King Street by storm. Kathryn and Thomas are busy as new parents, but still finding time to spearhead his campaign for US Senate. Shep and Whitney are both making a play in the restaurant industry while Craig is now an official law school graduate, and newly married Cameran is making her name as a real estate agent. Even with their recent successes, relationship tensions, ballots, businesses and babies, are pushing the group to their breaking points.

The third season of SOUTHERN CHARM premiered on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. Landon Clements, Craig Conover, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis, Cameran Eubanks, Thomas Ravenel, Shep Rose and Whitney Sudler-Smith set out to prove that even with close friendships, family ties and civilized decorum the stakes are at an all-time high amongst South Carolina's finest. This season, the rollercoaster romance between Thomas and Kathryn becomes even more complex as the two welcome a second Ravenel baby and struggle to co-parent successfully. Their tumultuous relationship creates a group divided as new feuds emerge and old feuds die hard. Meanwhile, southern belle Cameran, whose booming real estate ventures find her in bed with Shep, at least professionally, must decide if she ever wants to board the baby train and enter motherhood. After a detox in Delaware, Craig returns to Charleston determined to prove he's a changed man, thanks in part to his new girlfriend, Naomie. As Whitney contemplates the notion of leaving Charleston for good to follow his passion for film production, Craig accuses him of running away from his true love and personal scandal back at home. But not everyone is eager to settle down. Shep, the resident bachelor and ladies' man, finds a new partner-in-leisure in Landon, who's just as dedicated to riding the waves of life. However, Landon has a revelation that could change their decade-long friendship forever.

Season 4 of SOUTHERN CHARM premiered on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo, as Southern socialites Landon Clements, Craig Conover, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis, Cameran Eubanks, Shep Rose, Thomas Ravenel, and newcomer Austen Kroll balance business and pleasure in the Holy City. In the new season, new friendships are tested and old relationships start to sour. Thomas and Kathryn have officially parted ways, leaving Thomas to become Mr. Mom to their two children. Kathryn is focused on rebuilding her life in Charleston, reaching out to former enemies in the hopes of moving toward a productive future. As she approaches her 33rd birthday, Cameran is faced with a decision about pursuing motherhood, all while trying to help Shep live on the straight and narrow after a visit to the doctor shakes his world. Shep's protege, Austen, joins the group and is eager to prove that he is anything but the new Shep. However, the sweet tea starts to spill after the two men become involved in a tumultuous love triangle that threatens their friendship. As Craig realizes he's become the outcast of the group after years of telling half-truths, Landon finally gets her online start-up venture off the ground. In addition to her business, Landon moves to rekindle her friendship with Thomas now that Kathryn is out of the picture, however, getting involved with Thomas means the drama is never far behind. Bravo premiered the Season 4 finale of SOUTHERN CHARM on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 9-10:15pm ET/PT. In the 75-minute season ender, "Ain't No Thang Like a Chicken Wing," Landon and Kathryn's Key West apology sends shockwaves through the South leaving Thomas a gentleman scorned and the rest of the Charleston crew in bizzaro-land. Meanwhile, as Chelsea and Austen struggle to define their relationship, Craig and Naomie decide the fate of theirs. Kathryn and Thomas seem to finally be on the up and up while Shep continues to spiral down, down, down. When the group gathers for JD's party, old tensions are renewed when Craig is pushed to his limit by Shep.

SOUTHERN CHARM returned for its fifth season on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo, as Southern socialites Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, Cameran Eubanks, Austen Kroll, Thomas Ravenel, and Shep Rose welcome a new member, Chelsea Meissner, into the group. grew up on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina and moved to Charleston eight years ago. After starting her career in medical sales, Chelsea realized it wasn't her passion and took a year off to travel the world to figure out her next move. Known for having a strong work ethic, she ultimately decided to become a hairstylist at a salon in Charleston and is working towards creating a hair care line. This season, relationships old and new are tested as the women are turning the good old boys club on its head. With years of friction seemingly behind them, Kathryn and Thomas reached a custody agreement and have officially moved forward. Kathryn, now an independent woman, is marking her territory in Charleston and has high hopes of growing closer with the ladies of the group. Meanwhile, Thomas has found a new love interest, Ashley, who has relocated to the city and is shaking up the newly solid ground he and Kathryn have finally found. After years of fighting motherhood, Cameran welcomes her first child, Palmer, to the world. However, despite focusing on raising her daughter, Cameran still finds herself doling advice to the childish members of the crew. Meanwhile, Shep is fresh off his search for love that didn't go as planned and wonders if he is cut out for a life of romance. After a contentious breakup, Craig and Naomie struggle to remain friends, realizing quickly how hard it is to move on in a small town where everyone knows your business. Despite this, Craig is determined to pinpoint what went wrong, and launch a sewing empire, so he enlists a life coach to help keep him in balance. After a recent break up, Chelsea and Austen try to maintain a friendship, even though Austen has moved on with her close friend. Is this Charleston group strong enough to weather the ever-changing dynamics, or will they crumble under the pressure?

Season 6 of SOUTHERN CHARM premiered on Wednesday, May 16, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo, as new cast members Naomie Olindo and Eliza Limehouse join Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, Cameran Eubanks, Austen Kroll, Chelsea Meissner and Shep Rose. This season, Kathryn looks to take her place at the top of the social hierarchy, next to the matriarch of Charleston, Patricia -- all while managing a new house, new boyfriend and new sense of self. Cameran accepts her life as a mother and struggles to find a work-life balance that allows her to keep her edge. Craig has a renewed sense of self and hires a personal assistant to keep him on track. Austen is in a new relationship with Madison, and working on getting his beer distributed in Charleston. Shep, skeptical of Austen's new relationship, is still flying solo but learning the art of responsibility by becoming a puppy dad to a new dog, aptly named Little Craig. Chelsea settled down with a long-distance boyfriend and renovated her new house on James Island. Naomie has a new relationship and began her own company. Eliza works to find her place in the group, especially when her past alliances come into light.

SOUTHERN CHARM's seventh season premiered on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. Returning for Season 7 are charmers Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, Austen Kroll, and Shep Rose, who are joined by Leva Bonaparte, Madison LeCroy and John Pringle. This season, these Southern Socialites must navigate a consequential year that tests their relationships against the backdrop of a global pandemic and a cultural shift in Charleston, while still trying to maintain the breezy, low-country living they know so well. Charleston Grand Dame Patricia Altschul, her son Whitney Sudler-Smith, and friend of the group Danni Baird also return, as they too attempt to grapple with changing realities around them. Cameras documented their lives from February to July 2020 with self-shot footage during quarantine. No stranger to outside criticisms from those in her small town, a fiery and unapologetic Kathryn is forced to answer to a string of questionable mishaps that leave her friends doubting her motives. Letting her gossiping ways get the best of her, she lands in hot water after sharing what she perceives to be old news and is wholly unprepared for the repercussions. Equipped with a new therapist and an improved attitude, long-time bachelor Shep may have finally found the one, but they begin to question whether their honeymoon phase can survive the pressures of quarantine and COVID-19. Craig finds himself struggling to reconcile his stagnant personal life with his thriving professional endeavors. While his company Sewing Down South sees exponential growth, he is stuck living with Austen as he attempts to get his personal affairs in order. Meanwhile, Austen seems to have finally discovered the secret to success both personally and professionally. He accomplishes a major milestone with his beer business, but his good fortune suddenly comes crashing down when the pandemic hits and everything he has worked so hard for hangs in the balance. Familiar face Madison is at a crossroad in her relationship with Austen. Convinced that he is the one for her, she quickly realizes they may be in over their heads when the pandemic threatens to tear them apart. As she attempts to sort out her feelings, Patricia seizes the opportunity to play matchmaker and set Madison up with the man she deserves. Leva and her husband Lamar are known for their success in the Charleston nightlife and hospitality scene. After years of mingling with the charmers in the same social circles, Leva leads the charge in her quest to alter the social landscape of her adopted southern hometown. In a bi-racial marriage to a Charleston native and raising a son who is Black and Persian, she advocates for a "new south" that embraces her family's varied culture and promises a brighter future. Not one to shy away from tough conversations, her willingness to call her friends out in the hope of shifting their perspectives might be more than they can handle. Introduced to the group through his college fraternity brother Shep, John leaves his life behind in Los Angeles to reclaim his seventh-generation Charleston roots. His search for a more tranquil life proves far from easy, as he grapples with being a single dad living 3,000 miles away from his sons and is quickly caught up in a debate with the guys about bro-code when he shows interest in Madison.

Season 8 of SOUTHERN CHARM premiered on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. Charmers Leva Bonaparte, Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy and Shep Rose return for the new season. Plus, Naomie Olindo makes her return alongside Venita Aspen and Taylor Ann Green, with newcomers Olivia Flowers, Marcie Hobbs, and Chleb Ravenell. Charleston Grand Dame Patricia Altschul returns with her son Whitney Sudler-Smith, who wastes no time stirring up drama among the group; John Pringle joins in on the group's antics as well. This season, Kathryn celebrates her 30th birthday and is in a new relationship with her live-in boyfriend, Chleb. While she would love for the next decade of her life to be smooth sailing, she struggles to figure out exactly how to steer her way through. When an old friend moves back to town, she lets old resentments bubble to the surface. A former college athlete, Chleb prides himself on discipline and hard work, which he channels into his relationship with Kathryn. He also has a close bond with his mother, Debbie, who is not afraid to voice what she thinks is best for her son. Leva has moved into a new house in an upscale neighborhood with Lamar and their son, but she is wrestling with her mental health and the demands of running four restaurants on King Street. Craig has finally made things official with his new girlfriend, Paige, but when the former love of his life shows up, his new relationship faces unexpected challenges. To complicate the situation, Whitney inserts himself when he decides to throw major shade at his friend. Looking to mend her broken heart, Naomie leaves New York and heads back to Charleston. She is hoping for a fresh start, but drama with an old fling resurfaces while she sets her sights on a steamy new romance. At 42 years old and facing pressure to settle down, Shep finds himself at a crossroads in his relationship with his girlfriend, Taylor, who is still grappling with Shep's past mistakes. When Shep reaches his breaking point, his friends waste no time calling him out and coming to her defense. Patient and steadfast, Taylor leans on the group when she confronts past and present scares in her relationship. While quick to stand up for her friends, the dental assistant finds herself thinking twice about whether or not Shep is worth sticking around for. Austen is enjoying professional success and has set his sights on a new love interest, Olivia. But putting his romantic past behind him looks difficult, as much as he attempts to convince himself otherwise. Olivia returned home to Charleston shortly before the pandemic hit, and what was supposed to be a weeklong vacation turned into a permanent stay. After a DM from Austen, she finds herself smitten. Though she is excited to be reunited with her friend Leva, she quickly gets caught in the crossfire of old feuds. Newly engaged Madison is busy planning her wedding and splitting time between South Carolina and California. High off the success of her Charleston-based salon, Madison refuses to let resentful exes rain on her parade. A jack of all trades, Venita is a full-time model and influencer known around Charleston for her glamour, immaculate parties and head-to-toe perfect outfits. As she finds her footing with the group, Venita tries to reconcile her issues with Kathryn, though her and Olivia might not see eye to eye. Shep's younger cousin, Marcie, is one of the few people who can ask Shep the hard-hitting questions without feeling his wrath. She is expecting a baby girl with her new husband, John.

SOUTHERN CHARM returned for its ninth season on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. Returning Charmers Venita Aspen, Leva Bonaparte, Craig Conover, Olivia Flowers, Taylor Ann Green, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy and Shep Rose welcome newcomers Rod Razavi, Rodrigo Reyes and Jarrett "JT" Thomas. Plus, Patricia Altschul, the Grand Dame of Charleston, is back to hold court over the group with son Whitney Sudler-Smith, who finds himself somewhat relieved of his butler duties. Fresh off a sabbatical in Australia, Shep has returned to Charleston and is ready to work on a friendship with Taylor, which proves difficult when he hears rumors about what she's been up to while he was Down Under. Taylor is still working through her breakup with Shep and has been leaning on best friend Olivia for support. When a potential hookup of hers is revealed, Taylor denies the allegations and is unapologetic about enjoying her single life. Olivia has put Austen in the rearview as she explores the dating scene and focuses on her female friendships, but a confusing betrayal leaves her questioning whom she can truly trust. After his hot-and-cold relationship with Olivia freezes over, Austen is left wondering why his romantic endeavors never work out. Now some of his closest friendships come into question when dating rumors start to surface. The construction on Craig's house is a work-in-progress, and so is his relationship status with Paige. Craig finds himself in dating limbo and is hoping for her to commit to a move down south. Newly married Madison is settling into domestic bliss, with husband Brett splitting his time between Charleston and California. Though she is focused on mending friendships, she doesn't suffer fools gladly and fires back at anyone who attempts to bring her down. With a stable new beau in her life, Venita has left the feud with Madison in the past and is focused on new friendships with Olivia and Taylor. She's not afraid to call out transgressions within the group and take sides if necessary. JT is a successful southern eccentric with a loud personality. Buoyed by his professional prowesses, he's looking for a partner to spend the rest of his life with and has a particular southern belle in mind. Leva continues to be the voice of reason, providing a shoulder to lean on for the ladies and offering sage advice about the Holy City's Peter Pans. Rod is a staple in the Charleston social scene and a quintessential southern gent who has swept Olivia off her feet, regardless of who that might upset. Rodrigo is an interior designer in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Tyler. He has been friends with the Charmers for many years and helps to keep them grounded.

Season 10 of SOUTHERN CHARM debuted on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. Venita Aspen, Leva Bonaparte, Craig Conover, Taylor Ann Green, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, Rodrigo Reyes, Shep Rose and Jarrett "JT" Thomas return to mark a decade of sipping and spilling sweet tea along the Charleston social scene. Salley Carson and Molly O'Connell join the group as they juggle the Charleston dating scene and maintain old friendships. Ryan Albert, a good friend of Patricia, rounds out this season's newbies. Friend Patricia Altschul is back delivering her straight-shooting guidance as the Grande Dame of Charleston, alongside son Whitney Sudler-Smith, who continues to be entangled in the group's antics. This season, the Charmers find themselves at a crossroads of familiar feuds and redefined boundaries. Once Charleston's rowdiest, the group appears committed to business, family and health, but growing pains are inevitable as fractures in their newfound life plans are quick to surface.

After Shep's declaration to change at the end of last season, he attended an ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica and is now determined to make real growth. He has even fallen head-over-heels in love with the former Miss Bahamas, but the group questions if she feels the same way about him.

Taylor has moved on from her relationship with Shep, last year's drama with Austen and is unapologetically in love with her new boyfriend, a Charleston mainstay whom everyone has an opinion. She's dedicated to setting boundaries - from friendships to past flames - so that nothing can threaten her newfound happiness.

Surprising himself by defining the relationship, Austen is finally happy with a new long-distance girlfriend and focused on reviving his beer business. While his love life is on the up and up, his friendship with Craig is on the rocks as the former partners-in-crime find themselves at a crucial point of disagreement with no clear path forward.

Craig seems to be thriving both professionally and personally, steadfast in his belief that Paige is "The One." But after taking time away from Shep last year, he finds his longstanding friendships are on shaky ground as both Austen and Shep question what happened to their former confidante.

After just one year of marriage, resident southern belle Madison grapples with the loss of her father and finds herself dealing with issues far from her days as the single party girl. While she focuses on her family, she finds out that JT is meddling in rumors that cross the line.

JT continues to be an outspoken rabble-rouser, stirring up controversy wherever he goes. Despite his best intentions, his rapport with many in the group starts to go up in flames. However, Venita turns out to be his constant and offers a shoulder to lean on as he tries to mend friendships.

After breaking up with boyfriend Manny last year, Venita realizes that she and JT have an undeniable attraction and connection that goes deeper than most. She starts to question her feelings toward him amidst preserving her own friendships with those he may not be on the best terms with.

Leva continues to be a sounding board for her friends and isn't afraid to call out their bad behavior when they step out of line.

Rodrigo finds himself balancing a stable home life with his partner and dealing with the drama of his closest confidantes. He's unapologetic about giving his opinion and ready to take sides if necessary.

Salley is the latest to grace Charleston's vibrant social scene. She's a bubbly party girl by night and a robotics technician for surgical procedures by day. The debutante is gorgeous, intelligent and independent, and she shares a curiously parallel romantic past with Taylor.

Molly is a quirky southern belle, friendly but unfiltered, who grew up in Charleston and left to model all over the world. She's returned home to be closer to her family and friends, and her longtime entanglements with the men of the group lead her to wonder exactly how she fits in.

Ryan is a true southern gentleman within Charleston's elite social scene. Along with his husband, Dr. Eddie Irions, he's among Patricia's closest friends.
