Plot Synopsis

In this series, host Joel McHale and a team of correspondents "investigate" pop-culture mysteries, celebrity rumors, and burning questions about entertainment. In each 30-minute episode, THE SOUP INVESTIGATES explores three different stories, including these topics in the show's pilot episode: correspondent Michael Kosta traces the journey of a rose on THE BACHELOR -- from a manure-caked greenhouse to its ultimate destination at a picturesque rental mansion in Agoura Hills; correspondent Sarah Tiana examines real-life storage-space mysteries and evaluates whether STORAGE WARS is real or fake, while unveiling the contents of a locker belonging to Tila Tequila; and correspondent Eli Olsberg sits down with a focus group of Justin Bieber fans, using the latest in age-progression technology to show them how he'll look in the future. Later, when THE SOUP INVESTIGATES returned as a series, the show featured these topics: Dance Dads, as DWTS's Katrina Smirnoff weighed in on the thriving daddy-dancer underworld; 16 and NOT Pregnant; giving an extreme makeover to doomsday bunkers; exploring the impact reality television has had on the world of professional duck call manufacturers; exposing the addiction of binge streaming television online; tracing the history of slutty women's Halloween costumes; and many more hot-button topics. E! first aired the show's pilot on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 10:30pm ET/PT, with the program returning for its official series premiere more than three months later on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:30pm ET/PT.
