Plot Synopsis
Hosted by survival expert Creek Stewart, SOS: HOW TO SURVIVE is a one-hour docuseries that presents gripping true stories of people who suddenly find themselves in a life and death battle with the elements. Then, Creek and his team show viewers how to make it out alive, revealing innovative hints, tricks and skills. In the series opener, "Lost in the Mountains," a young couple go off a trail for a photo and can't find their way back, and their three-day attempt to hike down extreme mountainous terrain leads them into a dead-end canyon.
The sophomore season of SOS: HOW TO SURVIVE premiered on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 8pm ET on The Weather Channel, with Creek Stewart returning to host for a second season. In the season opener, "A Snowy Mountain Misstep," Ryan Montoya falls 2,000 feet off a mountain peak in Colorado and must endure frigid winter temperatures while finding a way to walk back to safety; the Sargeant family drives deep into the Arizona desert and becomes stranded.
On Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT, Weather Channel premiered the third season of SOS: HOW TO SURVIVE. In the season opener, "Snowbound with an Infant," Jim and Jennifer Stolpa and their 5-month-old son are hit with a blizzard and stranded without proper clothing, little food, and no water; Annette Herfkens is heading for a beach vacation with her fiance in Vietnam when their plane crashes.

Weather Channel premiered the Season 3 finale of SOS: HOW TO SURVIVE on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "Fire on the Mountain," Brandy Molatore and her dog become lost on a hike within Boulder Creek Wilderness; also, four young men take a camping trip to Gila Dwellings National Monument and get trapped by a flash flood.
