Plot Synopsis

Owner Will Hayden creates one-of-a-kind custom weapons with his eclectic crew of Baton Rouge, Louisiana gunsmiths and historians, including daughter Stephanie Hayden, Kristafor Ford, Vince Buckles and Joe Meaux. As a straight shooter and an avid historian, Will is a trusted expert to handle the requests of Red Jacket's major clients -- law enforcement, military and collectors. From guns to knives to swords to cannons, Will sells, trades, buys, builds and customizes them all. While weapons manufacturers are making attachable silencers for AK-47's, Will takes it a step further -- creating internal silencers that help police departments be even more stealth in threatening situations. If someone needs to restore a WWII flamethrower to make it operational, Will can do that too. And when the sheriff's department needs to turn two guns -- a shotgun and a rifle -- into one, they call Will. Discovery aired the Season 4 premiere on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, with an episode that features a blacklisted client showing up in the middle of a violent storm and the shop mishandling an important order.

SONS OF GUNS returned for its fifth season on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Discovery, immediately following a marathon (4-8pm ET/PT) of encore episodes and a brand-new, one-hour special, "Loaded Up," that revealed what happened after the cameras turned off at the end of Season 4, while also providing an exclusive preview and the inside scoop about the new season. In the Season 5 premiere, Will and Joe had a heart to heart about RJF's future after losing a lucrative contract. Plus, Will attempted to fit a 25mm Hotchkiss canon inside a pick up truck, and Joe prototyped a hexacopter to fire remotely.
