Plot Synopsis
A half-hour spinoff of SNL's popular, long-running Weekend Update segment featuring anchor Seth Meyers and occasional guest appearances from celebrities and SNL cast members. Offering a satirical take on the latest headlines, "Weekend Update Thursday" was originally intended to have a limited three-episode run during the 2008 presidential election, but it was ultimately renewed, becoming part of NBC's Fall 2009 lineup.
