Plot Synopsis

SNAKE CITY is a one-hour reality series that follows Simon Keys as he hunts down dangerous snakes in their hometown in South Africa. In Season 1, Simon worked with his wife Nadine, but they parted ways before the second season. In subsequent seasons, Simon has worked with his girlfriend Siouxsie. The tropical city of Durban has beaches, thousands of city-dwellers, and hundreds of venomous snakes. It's spring and after six months of hibernation, thousands of deadly snakes breach the city walls in search for food and a mate. This snake invasion sends a wave of panic across the urban jungle, and Simon might be the city's last hope. Nat Geo Wild aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, showing all three episodes on consecutive Fridays in November.

Season 3 of SNAKE CITY had its U.S. premiere on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on Nat Geo Wild. In the season opener, "Deadliest Catch," snake catcher Simon Keys and his herpetologist girlfriend, Siouxsie Gillett, risk their lives to capture and relocate snakes.

SNAKE CITY's fifth season premiered on Nat Geo Wild on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 8-10pm ET/PT, with back-to-back episodes. In the new season, extreme snake wrangler Simon Keys and his herpetologist girlfriend, Siouxsie Gillett, respond to terrified calls from people who have problem snakes in their houses and yards in the coastal city of Durban, South Africa. Unfortunately for their clients, business is booming for Keys and Gillett as the summer heat brings the native snakes -- like spitting cobras, green mambas, black mambas, pythons and more -- out of hiding. In the season opener, "Scorch and Slither," Snakes in South Africa are most active, and potentially dangerous, on hot days, making it the busy season for professional snake catchers Simon Keys and Siouxsie Gillet. Then, in the second episode, "Storm of Snakes," dogs, spitting cobras, and Siouxsie don't mix, while Simon teeters on edge for a mamba.

The sixth season of SNAKE CITY premiered on Nat Geo Wild on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Divide and Conquer," Simon and Siouxsie rescue two boomslangs, mating in a tree, from a stone-throwing mob.
