Plot Synopsis

SMALL TOWN SECURITY is a reality series that goes behind the scenes of JJK Security, a small, family-run security and private investigation company in Ringgold, Georgia, revealing the sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant, and sometimes just plain unusual stories of this business. The staff at JJK Security & Investigation includes: Joan Koplan (aka The Chief), the 61-year-old boss at JJK, who dances her way through life while barking orders, meddling in other people's business and constantly speaking in sexual innuendo and scatological sentences; Dennis Starr (aka The Lieutenant), a former military guy with a boundless passion for all things security, who has dreams of building a solid team of security guards to patrol factories, corporate facilities and events; Irwin Koplan (aka The Captain), the sweet and charming old-school salesman -- and Joan's husband -- who is a lovable underdog with an unintentionally masterful sense of comic timing; Brian Taylor, a licensed P.I. and straight-laced office manager, who is JJK's detective and process server and the rock that everyone can rely upon; Christa Stephens, the flighty office secretary, who spends as much time misspelling words as she does answering the phones but is uniquely capable of managing the complex social dynamic that unfolds daily in the front office; and Lambchop, Joan's beloved 14-year-old Chihuahua, which has an extremely feisty temperament and a penchant for barking whenever anyone says the word "Chinese." Season 2 of this series debuted on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, with an episode featuring how the gang dealt with the community's response to the TV series.

SMALL TOWN SECURITY returned for its third season on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11pm ET/PT on AMC with eight new half-hour episodes. In Season 3, the unorthodox universe of JJK Security continued to expand as several new out-of-this-world characters join the cast. Chief Joan Koplan along with Dennis, Irwin, Christa, Brian and Joan's beloved dog Lambchop were also forced to contend with a series of unexpected shocks and developments -- from dwindling business and serious health issues to Dennis' continued gender transformation and Joan's "speecy spicy" meatball musical performance.
