Plot Synopsis
Narrated by Kevin Smith, SLUGFEST is a 10-episode documentary series that explores the decades-long relationship and rivalry between Marvel and DC Comics. Using expert commentary, archival footage and celebrity re-enactments, this short-form series chronicles the growth of comic books as a new American art form and follows the rise of the two companies that went on to become comics-publishing and Hollywood powerhouses. Originally developed by the Russo Brothers for Quibi, SLUGFEST made its official debut on Friday, December 24, 2021, as Roku Channel released all 10 episodes, each between 6-10 minutes long.
