Plot Synopsis

SLEDNECKS is a half-hour reality series that follows a group of young adults living in rural Wasilla, Alaska, as they navigate friendships and relationships while going on crazy adventures -- from polar bear plunges and airboating on ice to glacier parties and human catapulting. With mountains and rivers as their playground, these friends make the most of what they have while always having a blast. The millenials featured in SLEDNECKS are: Jackie, a 22-year-old Inupiat Eskimo from Kotzebue, Alaska, who is proud of her heritage, whether it's sharing traditions with her friends, working in the mines or riding dirt bikes; Trevor, a 24-year-old self-proclaimed 'Fungineer,' who builds things out of random junk, taking fun to the next level; Kelly, a 22-year-old local, who continually finds ways to mess up his relationship with his on-again off-again girlfriend Sierra; Sierra, a sassy 22-year-old local, who can't help but get involved in everybody's business; Amber, a 22-year-old transplant from Anchorage, Alaska, who is a reliable friend and is great at dealing with conflict amongst their group; Zeke, a 22-year-old adrenaline junkie, who has a reputation for being a bad ass and a player; Tosca, a carefree 22-year-old tomboy, who is known for breaking hearts around town; Dylan, a laid-back 22-year-old known as 'El Tornado,' who continually dances for work and for laughs; Big Mike, a 24-year-old teddy bear with a heart of gold, who is a good friend to most of the girls in the group, always providing a shoulder to lean on; Hali, a 22-year-old straight shooter, who is best friends with Sierra; and Samantha, a self-assured single 19-year-old, who has been close friends with Zeke for years. MTV premiered SLEDNECKS on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, showing three back-to-back episodes for the show's 90-minute special debut.
