Plot Synopsis

Using archival footage, re-enactments and first-person interviews, SIX DEGREES OF MURDER recounts the true stories of murder investigations that required law enforcement to untangle a complicated web of relationships in order to uncover the truth. Each one-hour episode focuses on a single crime, including the series premiere, which chronicles the investigation into 26-year-old Kim Medlin, whose mysterious disappearance reveals secrets that shatter the safety and security of everyone in the tight-knit town of Monroe, North Carolina. Season 2 of SIX DEGREES OF MURDER premiered on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Twist of Fate," 20-year-old Justin Newman lands a great job in construction, but when he disappears on the day his new boss is found brutally murdered, a nation-wide search for Justin uncovers a sinister plot.

Police aren't sure if the tattoo artist turned Civil War collector is alive or dead until their investigation uncovers a horrific plot.
