Plot Synopsis

Created by William Broyles and David Broyles, a military special operations veteran, SIX is a one-hour drama series that follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six, modern American warriors, whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists. Inspired by real missions, the series authentically captures the inside world of America's elite Special Operations unit - what these SEALs do, their personal lives, combat and the life-and-death decisions they make to protect and serve their country. The series begins with SEAL Team Six troop leader Richard 'Rip' Taggart making a questionable decision while on a mission in Afghanistan. Two years later, Rip is captured by Boko Haram and it's up to his former SEAL Team Six brothers -- led by Joe Graves, Alex Caulder and Ricky "Buddha" Ortiz -- to put their differences aside to locate and rescue their former troop leader. Then, during a tense raid on an oil tanker in Lagos, SEAL Team attempts to detain a courier for Boko Haram who could be the key to finding Rip's whereabouts. SIX premiered on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on History, with a simulcast on A&E and LMN. Season 2 debuted on Monday, May 28 at 10pm on History Channel with a Memorial Day premiere, then the series moves to its regular timeslot -- Wednesdays at 10pm -- two days later. Olivia Munn joins the cast as the smart, ruthless CIA operative Gina Cline. The 10-episode second season follows Navy SEAL Team Six in a mission to destroy the terrorist network responsible for the shooting of their former team leader Richard "Rip" Taggart. Led by Joe 'Bear' Graves, the Navy SEALS will join forces with cunning and tenacious CIA officer Gina Cline to scour Eastern Europe, infiltrating hostile territory and terrorist hotspots like Chechnya as they track the mastermind behind Michael's jihadist network. The chase will bring the Navy SEALs to the border of Russia, where the consequences of their actions could spark World War III.
