Plot Synopsis

Executive produced, written and created by Simone Finch, SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE is a half-hour dramedy series that centers on irreverent 20-something alcoholic Samantha Fink, who is forced to move back home with her overbearing mother, Carol, to sober up and avoid jail time after a spectacularly embarrassing public flame-out at a New York media company. Back in Greater Boston, Samantha restarts her life, working at the local grocery store while surrounded by all of the triggers that made her drink in the first place. Confronted with remnants of her old life, including run-ins with her perfect former best friend, who is now dating her ex, Samantha sets out on a path to move past her worst self and figure out her best self. Kinda.

The sophomore season of SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE premiered with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 10-11pm ET/PT on Freeform. All 10 episodes of SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE's second season dropped on Hulu the following day: Thursday, April 13. With a year and a half of sobriety under her belt, Samantha Fink finally feels like she has a life worth celebrating. However, Sam quickly learns that sometimes life has other plans for her. Sam must figure out how to effect change where she can, sit in her discomfort when she can't, and maybe even enjoy the ride. In Season 2, Busy Philipps recurs as Sam's new sponsor Darby; Ricky Velez recurs as Alex, a "normie" first-date for Sam; and Molly Ringwald guest stars as Carol's sister-in-law Alice.
