Plot Synopsis

Shot in cinema verite and featuring surveillance footage and photography, this one-hour reality series follows a team of prosecutors and law enforcement officials in real time as they assess the crime scene, interview victims and witnesses, strategize their case and ultimately chase a conviction in the courtroom. With more than 60,000 cases a year, including high-profile homicides, robberies, gang-related crimes and assaults on the Strip, these aren't stories pulled from a Hollywood script. They happen to real people just trying to live and let loose under the big lights of Sin City. Originally titled LAW VEGAS LAW for its first season, the series returned with a new title, SIN CITY JUSTICE, for Season 2. In the series opener, "The Evil Men Do," one man was shot to death and two others were killed in a taxi that went up in a fireball on Las Vegas's iconic Strip. Seeking the death penalty, the DA's office goes after Ammar Harris for the three murders, but will witnesses who were inside Harris's vehicle testify against him so the victims' families can get justice? Meanwhile in the Vegas suburbs, a male massage therapist is charged with sexually abusing two female clients, and a detective who initially didn't believe a crime had occurred finds himself in the middle of the explosive trial. On Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the second season of this series, now titled SIN CITY JUSTICE. In the season opener, "Rage Against the Machine," in a trial that makes national headlines and shines a light on domestic violence, MMA fighter War Machine faces 34 charges after he beats and sexually assaults his former girlfriend, Christy Mack, who must defend her adult film lifestyle on the stand.
