May the 12th Be with You Season 19 Season 20 Season 21
Plot Synopsis
The longest-running primetime animated series and the scripted series with the most episodes in television history, as well as the longest running comedy on primetime television. Created by cartoonist Matt Groening, this half-hour series follows the antics of blue-collar family Homer and Marge Simpson, their three kids; Bart, Lisa and baby Maggie and the inhabitants of the quirky town of Springfield.
In Season 24, the Simpson family travels to New York City to track down Bart's long-lost love; Grampa escapes from his retirement home; Homer finds out his bowling buddy is an accountant for the mob; and Bart discovers the cool new neighbors' son isn't as cool as he appears to be. Guest voices for the 2012-2013 season include Zooey Deschanel, Patton Oswalt, Steve Carrell, Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein, Anika Noni Rose, Jennifer Tilly, race car driver Jeff Gordon and composer Marvin Hamlish.
Season 25 of THE SIMPSONS premiered on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT on Fox. The 2013-2014 season will feature these guest voices: Stan Lee, Katey Sagal, Aaron Sorkin, Gordon Ramsay, Eva Longoria, Will Arnett, Rachel Maddow, Elisabeth Moss, Daniel Radcliffe, Christiane Amanpour, Anderson Cooper, Kristen Wiig, and many more.
THE SIMPSONS returned for its 26th season on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "Clown in the Dumps," the unthinkable happens: a beloved (but not iconic) Springfield resident dies (and will stay dead). Also, Krusty retires after he's offended by a comedy cable channel roast of him, and Lisa tries to protect Homer from getting hurt. David Hyde Pierce, Sarah Silverman and Jeff Ross make guest appearances.
Season 27 of THE SIMPSONS premiered on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX with "Every Man's Dream," which features Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke and Laura Ingraham making guest voice appearances. In the season opener, Homer is diagnosed with narcolepsy, but instead of returning home with his prescription medication, he returns home drunk. He and Marge visit a marriage counselor and have a trial separation, during which Homer begins dating a 20-something.
Season 28 of THE SIMPSONS premiered on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX, with guest star Amy Schumer providing the voice of Mrs. Burns. In the season opener, "Monty Burns' Fleeing Circus," when Springfield is burned to the ground, the Simpsons beg Mr. Burns to fund its rebuilding. Burns agrees -- with one condition: he gets to put on a variety show at the Springfield Bowl. Additional guest voices for Season 28 include Patton Oswalt, Drew Carey, Sarah Silverman, Allison Janney, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Magnus Carlsen, Dan Rather, Lizzy Caplan and Michael Sheen. Plus, the new season features "Treehouse of Horror XXVII," which will be the series' 600th episode. In it, Mr. Burns introduces a HUNGER GAMES-style contest in which Springfield's children must fight each other; and Lisa's imaginary best friend becomes jealous of Lisa's real best friends. Additional storylines in the new season include the Simpsons' hometown of Springfield burning to the ground, Homer getting roped into coaching the kids' lacrosse team with Milhouse's dad; and Homer paying Choremonkey Matt Leinart to play catch with Bart, the two of whom form a strong bond, much to Homer's chagrin.
Season 29 of THE SIMPSONS premiered on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "The Serfsons," in a magical medieval world, Marge's mother is turned into an Ice Walker and the only way for Homer to afford the cure is to force Lisa to use illegal magic. When the King discovers this, he kidnaps Lisa, and Homer must lead a feudal uprising to save her. Guest voice cast includes Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Marge-Like Man. On Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 8pm ET/PT, FOX debuted "Forgive and Regret," the 636th episode of THE SIMPSONS, making it the scripted series with the most episodes in television history -- a record previously held by GUNSMOKE.
Season 30 of THE SIMPSONS premiered on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX, which takes the long-running animated series to 669 episodes during its 2018-2019 television season. In the season opener, "Bart's Not Dead," Bart takes a dare, and ends up in the hospital. To cover for himself and Homer, he says he went to Heaven and met Jesus. Christian producers offer the Simpsons a movie deal, which Homer takes. But Bart can't deal with the guilt and comes clean to Marge after the movie is finished. Guest Voice Cast: Emily Deschanel as herself, Gal Gadot as herself, Dave Attell as Luke, Pete Holmes as Matthew, Jonathan Groff as Bart. On Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT, FOX debuted "Mad About the Toy," the mid-season premiere of THE SIMPSONS. Guest Voice Cast: Bryan Bott as photographer/Carl; Lawrence O'Donnell as himself; Mayor Bill DeBlasio as himself.

Additional guest voices in Season 31 include: John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Zach Woods, Fortune Feimster, Asia Kate Dillon, Jim Parsons, Scott Bakula, directors Joseph and Anthony Russo, Bob Odenkirk, Jason Momoa, and primatologist/anthropologist Jane Goodall. On Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT, FOX debuted "Hail to the Teeth," the winter premiere of THE SIMPSONS. Homer and Marge attend Artie Ziff's wedding and become quite uncomfortable when they realize that his bride-to-be is a clone of Marge. Meanwhile, Lisa grapples with the misogynistic implications of the immediate popularity she receives after getting her new Invisalign braces.
Season 32 of THE SIMPSONS premiered on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "Undercover Burns," Mr. Burns goes undercover as "Fred" at the nuclear power plant and becomes friends with Homer and the gang. Burns implements all sorts of amenities to improve his employees' lives, but a jealous Smithers plots to bring the old, bitter Burns back and destroy Fred. After a two-month break, THE SIMPSONS returned with new episodes on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX. Originally scheduled to debut on FOX one week earlier, this episode was bumped by coverage of the rain delay of the Daytona 500. In the mid-season premiere, "Diary Queen," Bart finds his old teacher's diary and learns a surprising secret. Then, Lisa discovers an even bigger surprise. The late Marcia Wallace makes a guest appearance as Edna Krabappel.

This season Marge experiences a series of nightmares about young Bart's childhood coming to an end; Homer accidentally volunteers for a school crossing guard position; sixty years in the future, Lisa recounts the story of how Homer was scapegoated for a power outage that plunged Springfield into darkness days before Thanksgiving; and the annual chilling trilogy "Treehouse of Horror XXXIV" is back. In the season opener, "Homer's Crossing," feeling worthless at work, Homer volunteers to be a school crossing guard.
