Plot Synopsis

In this scripted horror series, 16 contestants descend on Tunguska, Siberia, to compete in a survival reality series, but they endure strange occurrences that are not part of the show and must band together to survive -- for real. In 1908, a meteor hit deep into the remote Siberian territory of Tunguska. Now, more than 100 years later, 16 contestants on a reality series are dropped off in the wilderness to compete with only the clothes on their backs. The show opens with its only elimination challenge: the competitors must traverse through the wilderness from the drop-off point to their base camp, where the last two contestants to arrive are immediately sent home. Of the remaining 14 contestants, those that survive the harsh Siberian winter will split $500,000. The group is left to govern themselves and start a new civilization, using the base camp's limited supplies and the show's "Revealer," which is a box that the producers will occasionally use to grant the contestants an item that will aid their survival. If competitors want to leave and forfeit their share of the prize, they can go to the safe zone and push a button that will summon a helicopter to take them away. There is no other way to leave the show. But when a contestant is badly injured and no help arrives, the contestants are met with the chilling realization that their safety is at risk. Plus, as frightening events and unexpected situations threaten their lives, leaders and followers emerge as the group struggles to survive. The "contestants" are: Carolina, a bartender from Bogota, Colombia; Johnny, a bull rider from Jedburg, SC; Daniel, a computer programmer from Minneapolis, MN; Neeko, a pro rugby player from London, UK; Natalie, a veterinary assistant from Santa Barbara, CA; Sam, an auto mechanic from Brooklyn, NY; Esther, a model from Melbourne, Australia; Tommy, a philanthropist from Boston, MA; George, an accountant from Louisville, KY; Anne Marie, a graphic artist from New Orleans, LA; Miljan, a DJ from Podgorica, Montenegro; Irene, a fashion designer from Taipei, Taiwan; Berglind, a photo journalist from Reykjavik, Iceland; Harpreet, a gradudate student from Washington, DC; Victoria, a sales clerk from Winnipeg, Canada; and Sabina, a soldier from Haifa, Israel.
