Plot Synopsis

Created, written, and executive produced by Brett Goldstein, Bill Lawrence, and series star Jason Segel, SHRINKING is a half-hour comedy series that follows a grieving therapist, Jimmy, who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people's lives...including his own. The first two episodes of SHRINKING debuted on Friday, January 27, 2023 on Apple TV+. A new installment dropped weekly on Fridays through March 24.

The 12-episode second season of SHRINKING debuted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 on Apple TV+, which released the first two episodes. A new installment drops weekly on Wednesdays through December 25. In the season opener, "Jimmying," Jimmy grapples with his guilt over Grace, Paul makes a decision about his relationship with Julie, Liz tried to help Gaby find balance in her busy life, Sean has a chance to reconnect with his past, and Alice worries about her father's mental state.
