Plot Synopsis

Chris Fischer and his crew travel, including a lead scientist, travel the world to tag great white sharks, as well as retrieve blood and sperm samples. Once tagged, the sharks are released so that scientists can unravel the mystery of the great white sharks eating, mating and migration habits with the ultimate hope of using that knowledge to protect this ocean predator. As the boat follows the sharks, the crew must deal with faulty engines, rapidly spoiling bait, fatigue and approaching storms. In the first season, the crew tagged sharks near the Mexican island of Guadalupe. For Season 2, they spent time in the Farallon Islands marine sanctuary off the coast of San Francisco, off the coast of Malibu, near Guadalupe Island again, and in the Sea of Cortez. In Season 3, the crew goes after a wider variety of shark species in unfamiliar territory -- the Revillagigedo Islands.
