Plot Synopsis

After ten years starring as America's favorite TV dad, actor David Hobbs honors the deal he made with his soap-star wife, Amy: he becomes a stay-at-home father so she can return to the limelight. David soon learns that playing a dad on TV is child's play compared to the real thing of being father to son Joe and daughters Emily and Janie. While at home, David is joined by his assistant, Kevin, and friend, Marcus. This multi-camera comedy was filmed at Paramount Studios' Stage 19, the same place HAPPY DAYS, with Scott Baio, was filmed from 1974-1984 and the iconic family sitcom MY THREE SONS was filmed from 1960-1972. After showing the pilot on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 9pm ET, Nick at Nite presented the official series premiere one week later on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 8pm ET. SEE DAD RUN returned for its second season on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, with 20 new episodes in the new season. In the Season 2 opener, David must plan Janie's birthday party when the venue cancels at the last minute.

After a five-month break, SEE DAD RUN returned with new episodes on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 8:30pm ET/PT on Nick at Nite. In the season opener, "See Dad Ruin Joe's Teacher," David inadvertently encourages Joe's favorite teacher to follow his dream of writing, but when David discovers he doesn't cut it as a "beat poetry" substitute, he must find a way to get the teacher back or risk disappointing Joe.
