Plot Synopsis

With the help of licensed therapists, renowned educator and TV commentator Dr. Steve Perry helps families stage interventions for loved ones, as they work together to design the best possible plan of action to help the young man in crisis. Each episode profiles the struggles of a different African American family saving their son who has fallen victim to bad influences and bad choices. The series helps a diverse group of individuals from different socioeconomic groups and backgrounds, many of them led by single parents and in need of strong black male role models. This series had its premiere screening on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2pm at The ESSENCE Music Festival, before having its broadcast premiere nearly three months later.
