Plot Synopsis

Created by Victor Fresco and executive produced by and starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, SANTA CLARITA DIET is a single-camera black comedy series that follows husband-and-wife realtors Joel and Sheila Hammond who lead vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby, until Sheila sends their lives down a road of death and destruction when she wakes up one day and realizes she's a zombie. After she invites Joel into her undead world, the couple must hide their real identities from friends and neighbors while trying to keep their marriage -- and their family -- together. Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season of SANTA CLARITA DIET on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

On Friday, March 23, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the 10-episode second season of SANTA CLARITA DIET. What turned Sheila undead? Has Joel boarded the crazy train? Are Eric and Abby just friends? The questions -- like the bodies -- are stacking up. In the season opener, "No Family Is Perfect," Joel's stuck in an asylum, Sheila's chained to a pole, and Abby's on the hunt for Serbian bile. Yep, sounds about right. Then, eager to secure a lucrative new listing, Joel and Sheila brainstorm how to knock rival realtors out of contention ... without resorting to murder.

The 10-episode third season of SANTA CLARITA DIET premiered on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. In Season 3, Sheila searches for meaning, Joel investigates a secret society, and Abby struggles with her feelings for Eric. The season opens with Joel feeling a smidge threatened, Anne spreading the gospel, Abby and Eric pretending to date, and Sheila wanting to know, "God, why me?" Then, Sheila and Joel meet a knight and Anne lays down the law. Plus, there's a rumor going 'round that Eric and Abby are k-i-s-s-i-n-g.
