Plot Synopsis

SALVATION is a one-hour suspense series that centers on Liam Cole, an MIT grad student, and Darius Tanz, a tech superstar billionaire, who bring Pentagon official Grace Barrows a staggering discovery -- that an asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth. Along the way, they stumble onto the greatest conspiracy never told. As Darius and Liam work to invent a theoretically impossible piece of technology to divert the asteroid, Grace risks everything to help Darius. Also, Liam heads home to Boston to track down critical research, but finds something shocking instead. Neil deGrasse Tyson guest stars as himself in the series premiere. Season 2 of SALVATION premiered on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on CBS. In the second season, the secret is out -- the world learns the truth about the impending threat of an asteroid on a collision course with earth. The question is: will the truth bring out the best...or the worst in us? The answer, of course, is both. In the season opener, "Fall Out," the secret of the asteroid becomes public following a nuclear incident, setting the world on a dangerous course. Also, Darius, Grace, Liam and Harris must adapt to new roles in an ever-shifting landscape of fear and civil unrest.

On Monday, September 17, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, CBS premiered the Season 2 finale of SALVATION. In the season ender ,"Get Ready," one last mystery holds the key to saving the world, and Grace must choose how she spends her final days.
