Plot Synopsis

ROYAL RULES OF OHIO is a half-hour docuseries that follows three Ghanaian sisters as they navigate their twenties in Columbus, Ohio. The Agyekum sisters live a lavish life as the daughters of royal descendants of two of the most wealthy and powerful Ghanaian kingdoms. However, with that privilege comes great responsibility. Behind closed doors, viewers are given a glimpse into the double lives the sisters are living that could tarnish their family's noble reputation. Episodes include:

"Rule #1: Never Let Your Crown Tilt" (Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): The Agyekum family maneuvers life in Columbus, Ohio, while abiding by their rules within the Ghanaian community. The sisters navigate watchful eyes at Brenda's graduation party and get into some trouble at the after-party.

"Rule #2: All That Glimmers Better Be Gold" (Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): A surprise guest at the baby-naming ceremony stirs up old drama. Thelma struggles to reconcile her father's expectations with her own passions. Delali and the aunties teach the daughters about the role of a Ghanaian woman.

"Rule #3: Gold Never Sweats" (Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): The Agyekum daughters attend a kickback with friends and frenemies. Akili presents Thelma with a major real estate project to test her dedication to the family business. The sisters attend the Black alum reunion at Ohio University.

"Rule #4: Royals Don't Go Rogue" (Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): Thelma confronts GS at the Black Alumni Reunion. When Auntie Sheilah hosts a kickback, Abigail decides to crash the party. The sisters make a permanent decision that is a shocking surprise for Akili and Delali.

"Rule #5: Protect The Royal Rep" (Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): Nana and Thelma go on a double date. Fed up with the girls' disrespectful behavior, Delali hosts a mixer with potential husbands for her daughters. The sisters prepare to confront their cousin Kofi.

"Rule #6: Royal Realness Is a Must" (Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): Brenda contemplates her next steps post-grad. Things get heated when Nana and Brenda confront Kofi about his betrayal. The daughters conduct interviews for a secret maid. Thelma is triggered by news about her ex.

"Rule #7: Ruling Isn't Easy" (Wednesday, June 25, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): The Agyekum family prepares to host their Kente ball. Nana and Michael's relationship deepens on their one-on-one date as she invites him to the ball. A surprise guest faces judgment from Akili and Delali.

"Rule #8: Heavy Is The Heart That Wears the Crown" (Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): The Agyekum family have a post-ball debrief. Kal and Thelma contemplate a path forward. Brenda takes Delali to a remote cabin to mend their relationship, but unexpected guests derail their trip.

"Rule #9: Royals Always Bring It" (Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): Michael comes to dinner at the Agyekum household, where he is grilled by Akili. Akili reviews Thelma's work on a new unit to see if she is meeting expectations for the family business. Thelma invites the whole family to her fitness summit.

"Rule #10: Stay Your Own Way" (Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30pm ET/PT): Kal's presence at the fitness summit causes tension with Akili and Delali. While Kal seeks forgiveness, Brenda explores her law career options. The family throws Thelma a surprise birthday party, with more than a few surprises.
