Plot Synopsis
Feeling responsible for her son's death, conflicted cop Grace Davis searches for the truth about what happened to her son while she works undercover as Jackie Hays, a woman who convinces Oakland crime-boss Jimmy Laszlo that he has a traitor in his organization. Grace does not fundamentally know who she is -- her police and family persona or her undercover persona -- and her obsession with work is hurting her family, which is still reeling from the death of her seven-year-old son, Sam. At home, her husband Tom, a dedicated high-school teacher, is left isolated and alone while Grace searches for Sam's killer, but Tom remains calm, quiet and patient, even though their daughter has turned to drugs, because he believes he and Grace still love each other. While undercover, Grace infiltrates the major crime organization headed by Jimmy, who has grown tired of the killing and scheming and is seeking his own American dream in private banking. Jimmy's two sons, Alec and Max, are vying for his approval -- and the reigns to his organization. Alec, a loud-mouth with swagger, understands the demands of a modern gangster, in a way his father never did, and he resents his father for never giving him special treatment in the family firm. His rival brother, Max, was reluctantly drawn into the family business, and his wife, Cathy, uses her sexuality and intellectual dominance to manipulate him, keeping him motivated. Back at the precinct, Det. Mitchel is assigned to Sam's murder case, but he struggles to repair his relationship with his own family as he searches for the killer -- and he's reluctant to help Grace work with the mob. While Grace works undercover, the cops are going after Jimmy using multiple tactics, and Captain Campbell instructs Hernandez to get something on Jimmy. If Grace does come face-to-face with her son's killer, will she seek justice or revenge? ROGUE returned for its second season on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on DirecTV's Audience Channel. Season 2 picks up with Grace trying to navigate a new life as she remains separated from her husband while balancing her new job as handler for an FBI Task Force. Recently separated from Tom, Grace has plenty of drama at home, especially when her home life becomes complicated by her estranged mother, Vivian, who shows up after a prolonged absence. Even though Grace has left her life as an undercover cop to be a better mother to her daughter, her job pulls her back in. Grace is a handler for an FBI task force that investigates corporate espionage in San Francisco, but when her undercover operative, Sarah, goes missing, Grace is forced to go back undercover to save her. That's when she meets Ethan, the owner of the security consultancy Sarah investigated before disappearing. Grace looks to gain Ethan's trust to learn what happened to Sarah, but Ethan has his own agenda. His close friend and business partner was murdered the night Sarah vanished, and he's determined to find who's responsible. As Grace gets closer to Ethan, her feelings grow. But can she trust him? Season 3 of ROGUE premiered Wednesday, June 24 at 9pm ET/PT on Audience Network. The new season features Cole Hauser and Thandie Newton reprising their roles as Ethan Kelly and Grace Travis, and also includes Sarah Carter, Richard Schiff, Derek Luke and Bianca Lawson. A corrupt General sends Ethan Kelly to Chicago to infiltrate the firm of one of the city's most notorious attorneys and power brokers, Marty Abrams (Schiff). It soon becomes apparent that Marty's dealings extend from the boardroom into the dangerous world of one of Chicago's most feared gangs. Meanwhile, Ethan meets Marlon Dinard (Luke), a respectable owner of a high-end chandelier store. Ethan, however, begins to question if there's more to Marlon than meets the eye. Tasked to find the truth, Ethan tracks him and his half-sister Talia (Lawson), who winds up attracting even more unwanted attention toward Marlon. When a reporter on the brink of discovering the depths of Marty's empire winds up dead, Federal Agent Harper Deakins (Carter) is assigned to investigate his death. Grace Travis, convinced that Ethan holds the key to her survival, once again goes rogue and heads to Chicago. She and Ethan work together to bring down the people who murdered her son and have Ethan under their thumb. These seemingly separate cases interconnect and ultimately reveal a powerful conspiracy which connects the white collar boardrooms to the gangs of Chicago.
