Plot Synopsis

Six months after famed explorer Dr. Emmet Cole disappears in the uncharted Amazon, his emergency beacon goes off, causing his wife Tess and reluctant son Lincoln to assemble a team for a rescue mission that they film for a documentary. As they travel into the Amazon and find Dr. Cole's ship, The Magus, the team's adventure just begins as they encounter scary mysteries, deal with their own personal issues and discover powerful magic during the rescue mission. Dr. Cole was a hero to millions of kids because of his nature show, but he was an enigma to his own son who had to abandon his medical studies for the expedition. Joining Tess and Lincoln on their search are: Lena, the sexy and fearless helicopter pilot whose father, cameraman Russ, is presumed dead and missing along with Dr. Cole; Clark, the long-time producer of Dr. Cole's documentary series; Emilio, the master ship mechanic who once worked with Dr. Cole; Jahel, the 17-year-old daughter of Emilio who is also mechanically inclined; Kurt, the lethal bodyguard who is an ex-Navy captain; and AJ, one of the cameraman. The story is presented as if it was "found footage," and crew testimonials are used to provide backstory and intrigue.
