Plot Synopsis
Narrated by Alton Brown, each half-hour episode of RIDICULOUS CAKES follows three cake artists from across America, as they create dream cakes that defy expectations. In addition to introducing viewers to these talented cake artists, Alton offers insightful and revealing commentary about their extraordinary efforts that go into imagining and creating these masterpieces. Whether it is a cake made to be a confectionary celebration of the beloved children's series Fraggle Rock for Jim Henson Studios or a giant planet Earth cake that weighs nearly a quarter of a ton for an Earth Day gala, get ready for some inspirational and Ridiculous Cakes! In the special back-to-back premiere episodes, featured creations include a Bollywood-themed chandelier cake that hangs upside down and lights up, a baby shower cake that defies gravity, a high-fashion cake that is ready for its close-up, and an over-the-top, mouth-watering creation crafted for a food blogger.
