Plot Synopsis

Nicole Curtis finds historic homes that need to be renovated so she can restore them to their original glory. She must wrangle with city officials over permits and find the best contractors -- which sometimes means she uses her own two hands with the help of her brother and cousin, who are carpenters -- while dealing with the usual headaches of a complete and authentic home makeover. In the first three episodes of this series, Nicole transformed a 1902 Victorian-style home (3713 Lyndale Ave S; Minneapolis, MN 55409), where she endured a contractor who walked off the job, found an investor when she ran short on cash, and discovered a bathroom vanity and kitchen cabinets at an estate sale and at the salvage yard. Season 3 premiered on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, featuring a house at 381 Case Ave. in St Paul, MN that she purchased for one dollar. This time, she had no clients and no partners as she rehabbed this fixer-upper, where she kept as many of the house's unique features, like the kitchen cabinets, stained glass windows, and wood stairs, while modernizing the home's electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems. REHAB ADDICT returned for its fourth season on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on DIY Network. In Season 4, Nicole bought a house on 2914 4th Street in Minneapolis. Originally built as a single-family home but recently used as a duplex, the city had voted for the house to be demolished after the boarded-up home was condemned. Now, Nicole takes a dilapidated house with a basement full of structural issues, from rotten support beams to a crumbling concrete floor, and transforms it into a beautifully restored home. Season 7 of REHAB ADDICT premiered on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on DIY Network, immediately following a six-hour marathon (3-9pm) of encore episodes. The season opener, "Kitschy Kitchen," chronicles one of the largest kitchens Nicole has ever tackled, and it's her grandparents' kitchen. Built in 1956, the kitchen itself has been around for over half a century, but was unfortunately redone in the '90s, eliminating it's mid-century modern charm. Nicole wants to restore the ugly kitchen to how it looked when she was a child. New hardwood floors replace linoleum and Nicole designs custom, vintage-inspired cabinets to provide a nostalgic feel to the treasured room. Right down to a salvaged green phone, the kitchen begins to be reborn as it was in Nicole's childhood memories. The eight-episode eighth season of REHAB ADDICT premiered on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on DIY Network, with Nicole and her team saving more historic homes in Detroit and restoring them to their stately beauty. In the season opener, "A Tale of Two Houses," Nicole is back in action and juggling two Detroit houses at the same time! While the 'Ferndale' house is in great shape, the '14 Mile' property is gutted of its original fixtures and charm. Since both homes were built in 1928 and have similar floor plans, Ferndale serves as the inspiration for renovations at 14 Mile. Nicole starts with the living room, building out the staircase, adding a closet and framing the windows in oak.

After an eight-month break, REHAB ADDICT returned with new episodes on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on DIY Network, immediately following a brand-new one-hour special:

"The Dollar House" (8-9pm): In Minneapolis, Minnesota, Nicole Curtis buys a condemned, boarded-up house for just one dollar. She has the support of the neighbors behind her as she plans to transform it into a beautifully restored showpiece for the entire neighborhood.

"Stepping Up the Living Room" (9-9:30pm): Nicole Curtis turns her attention to a rundown cottage in need of major rejuvenation in Lake Orion, Michigan. Starting with the living room, she gets straight to work ripping out an old staircase, and a little creative thinking helps relieve her concern about the room's low ceiling. A beautiful old door ties the room together, making the small space look grand.
