Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, THE REAL LOVE BOAT is a one-hour reality series that brings singles together to sail the Mediterranean on a luxury cruise ship while looking for love. Destination dates, challenges and surprise singles will test the couples' compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, the indispensable crew members -- including Captain Paolo Arrigo, Ezra Freeman (Bartender) and Matt Mitcham (Cruise Director) -- play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead. Singles experienced in the ups and downs of romance come together on THE REAL LOVE BOAT to find a true love connection while visiting and competing in some of the world's most beautiful cities, including Barcelona, Marseille, Rome, Santorini, Athens and more. A shoe designer, firefighter, nurse, teacher and landscape architect are among the men and women setting sail on the romantic adventure. From divorce and broken engagements to terrible online dating experiences, being unlucky in love has not discouraged these Singles from seeking true romance. Throughout the season, Singles embark on destination dates and compete in challenges to test couples' compatibility and chemistry, while earning valuable rewards. The romantic waters will be tested when new Singles come aboard, and those who don't find a match will "Shove Off" and be left behind at port. After nearly one month at sea, one winning couple will dock in the final port and take home a cash prize plus a once-in-a-lifetime trip courtesy of Princess Cruises, the series' exclusive cruise line partner. The singles looking for love include: Alisa Shah (age: 24; hometown: San Diego, CA); Brett De Laura (36; Dana Point, CA); Brooke White (34; Los Angeles, CA); Daniel Cooper (25; Atlanta, GA); Emily Stone (24; Colgate, WI); Forrest Jones (30; Houston, TX); Jordan Malabanan (26; Windsor, Ontario); Marty Hassett (33; Charlotte, NC); Michael Gonzalez (35; New York, NY / Los Angeles, CA); Nathan Kroger (24; Cincinnati, OH); Nicole Wong (28; Vancouver, British Columbia); and Shea-Lynn Noyes (28; Toronto, Ontario). After four episodes, THE REAL LOVE BOAT moved from CBS to Paramount+ for the rest of its first season.

On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, Paramount+ released "And the Winning Couple Is...," the season finale of THE REAL LOVE BOAT. The winning couple is announced, and Jerry and Rebecca give a live performance of the Love Boat theme on the main deck, complete with background dancers.
