Plot Synopsis

Created, written, and executive produced by series star Ramy Youssef and executive produced by Jerrod Carmichael, RAMY is a comedy series that follows Ramy Hassan, a first generation Egyptian-American who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. In this series Ramy explores the challenges of what it's like being caught between a Muslim community that thinks life is a moral test and a millennial generation that thinks life has no consequences. RAMY premieres Friday, April 19, 2019, with Hulu releasing all 10 episodes.

RAMY returned for its 10-episode second season on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Hulu released the entire new season. In Season 2, Ramy delves further into his spiritual journey, finding a new Muslim community and embracing a deeper commitment to his faith.

The entire 10-episode third season of RAMY dropped on Friday, September 30, 2022 on Hulu. In Season 3, Ramy's family is forced to confront having lived a life dedicated to worldly concerns -- and in some cases, lies -- while Ramy all but abandons his spiritual journey, instead dedicating himself to him and his uncle's diamond business.
