Plot Synopsis

Gordon Ramsay has six months to setup a catering company inside south London's Brixton Prison, with its toughest prisoners cooking food on the inside that gets sold on the outside to the public. Ramsay thinks it's time British prisoners help pay their own way, especially since it costs taxpayers a fortune to keep criminals in prison -- over three billion pounds a year. First, he picks 12 men for his Bad Boys Brigade business, but finds none of them can even scramble an egg. In addition to having no trained chefs at his disposal, Ramsay finds a host of other forces arranged against him: prison bureaucracy, the unreliable workforce, skeptical retailers and above all -- persuading the British public to eat food made by inmates, who are drug dealers, burglars, muggers and thieves. After airing on Channel 4 in the UK in Summer 2012, BBC America aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT.
