Plot Synopsis

Created and written by Cash Carraway, RAIN DOGS is a half-hour dark comedy series about an unconventional love story between a working class single mum, her 10-year-old daughter, and a privileged gay man. Costello Jones is a writer and single mother with a rock and roll swagger and a glint in her eye, a woman who appreciates the glamor of the gutter but would do anything to keep her daughter, Iris, from it. Iris is a hustler in kid's clothing who loves South Park, William Morris wallpaper and, more than anything, her mum. Iris's chaotic, directionless and utterly glorious godmother, Gloria, is running out of second chances. Selby is a boarding school boy educated on Brett Easton Ellis and Goddard, Costello's loyal soulmate and loving tormentor. The four glorious Rain Dogs form a makeshift swaggerous family fed on defiance and chaos, and a deep but complicated love.

On Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT, HBO premiered "This Is Not an Exit," the season finale of RAIN DOGS. When he receives a troubling call from Iris, Selby rounds up Gloria and Lenny for a road trip in search of Costello, who is at risk of reaching her breaking point.
