Plot Synopsis

From the executive producers of THE AMAZING RACE and the producer of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, this reality competition series takes 12 contestants on a journey through the fictional world of Everealm, where players engage in epic challenges with ogres running free in the forest, dragons stirring, and agents of a dark lord infiltrating the keep. The contestants are dubbed Paladins, defenders of a noble cause, who compete to save the besieged kingdom, but only one will prevail and earn the right to be called the One True Hero. Along the way, the Paladins and viewers experience an elaborate and full mythology (developed by Haxan Films), animatronic creatures (created by the award-winning team at Spectral Motion), and real-time 3D projection mapping (developed by NuFormer). Relying on physical stamina, intelligence and resourcefulness, the Paladins are: Shondo Blades (30, MMA Fighter from Houston, TX); Lina Carollo (27, School Counselor from Delran, NJ); Jim Curry (22, Student from Little Rock, AR); Andrew Frazer (25, Personal Trainer from West Hartford, CT); Bonnie Gordon (28, Property Manager from Lafayette, LA); Ashley Guerrero (35, Horse Trainer from Murrieta, CA); Patrick Higgins (41, High School Math Teacher from Joliet, IL); Jasmine Kyle (31, Mother and Homemaker from Media, PA); Adria Kyne (41, Marketing Director from Nashua, NH); Leticia Reyes (36, Executive Assistant from White Plains, NY); Katherine 'Katie' Smaluk (26, Bartender from Chicago, IL); and Christian Sochor (23, Server from New York, NY). Originally scheduled to premiere on January 2, 2014, THE QUEST's series debut was delayed until June 19 and then rescheduled again to Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on ABC.

On Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 8-10pm ET/PT, ABC aired the two-hour season finale of THE QUEST. The Paladins have arrived at the end of their journey and the moment of truth is at hand, but first, these remaining contestants must face a new enemy. In the night's first episode, "Escape from Rana Village," the stakes reach a new height when the Paladins are taken prisoner. They must act quickly in order to save themselves and the Queen. Ultimately, only one is safe from the Fates leading to their most emotional banishment yet. The final episode begins with only three Paladins left, and the final challenge puts the Paladins to a demanding test.
