Plot Synopsis

A QUEEN IS BORN is a six-episode docuseries that follows Gloria Groove and Alexia Twister, who make drag dreams come true as they help six artists find the confidence to own the stage in this makeover show. Each episode features a different artist, including: Paola Di Verona, an English teacher who gets full marks for teaching in drag; Juju Glow, a young publicist who needs to learn how to walk the walk in 5-inch heels; Carlao Sensacao, a spirited screenwriter confronting her traumatic past with stand-up comedy; Ramona, a hairdresser whose lip-syncing skills are standing in the way of an all-singing, all-dancing performance; Indra Haretrava, a colorful drag persona steeped in myth, mystery and memories of a mystical journey through India; and Adla Davis, a set designer works on a powerful performance about acceptance. On Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released all six episodes of A QUEEN IS BORN.
