Plot Synopsis

PROBLEM SPACES is a half-hour docuseries that follows Houston-based DIY designer Fariha Nasir, who creates new spaces from difficult rooms with odd-shaped walls, outdated designs, and areas that just don't work. On Friday, December 30, 2022, the Magnolia App released a special episode of PROBLEM SPACES. In this special preview, "Extreme Angles," Fariha turns an oddly-angled bedroom and nook into cozy, welcoming spaces.

On Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 2-3pm ET/PT, PROBLEM SPACES made its official series debut with back-to-back episodes on Magnolia Network:

"Hidden Spaces" (2pm): Fariha Nasir transforms cluttered pass-through spaces like an office and a homeschooling area; by using creative design techniques to hide unappealing elements, she reinvents the rooms to make them both practical and beautiful.

"Extreme Angles" (2:30pm): Fariha Nasir reimagines rooms with awkward, uninviting layouts, like a bedroom with angled walls and a tiny entertaining nook, and converts them into cozy, welcoming spaces.
