Plot Synopsis
Based on Scott Turow's 1987 book of the same name, PRESUMED INNOCENT is an eight-episode limited series that explores the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney's office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together. Executive produced by J.J. Abrams, showrunner David E. Kelley, and series star Jake Gyllenhaal, PRESUMED INNOCENT debuted on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 on Apple TV+, which released the first two episodes. A new installment dropped weekly on Wednesdays through July 24.
