Plot Synopsis

Based on Naomi Alderman's 2016 novel of the same name, THE POWER is set in today's world, but with a twist of nature: teenage girls around the world suddenly develop the power to electrocute people at will. The series features characters from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, who find their new power to be an agent of both liberation and destruction. As teen girls grapple with their new abilities, parents and political leaders try to make sense of a sudden rash of fires, power outages, blown electrical grids, and mysterious burn marks. Will the Power evolve into a complete reversal of the power balance of the world? The first three episodes of THE POWER dropped on Friday, March 31, 2023 on Prime Video, with a new installment debuting weekly through May 12.
